Video Games

In Miss Tele’a’s writing group we have been writing imaginative recounts.  We chose a picture and could write any story as long as it fit the TREE structure.  Here is my work :

I heard that there was covid I was crying until night. Then I fell asleep crying. I was upset that I couldn’t see my friends but I said to myself I still have my cat.

So I had a good idea. I will call my friends. I called them and then Brooke said I don’t wanna be friends. I was so upset I wanted to stop being a fake friend but I remembered I was not a fake friend Brooke was a fake friend. Later on I was depressed.  

At least I had Cattaleya and Me. I was getting more and more upset that Brooke left Me. Next I wanted to get ice cream but it was covid so I delivered ice cream to make me feel better.

I felt upset and nervous. And then I wanted to go to the toilet and then Cattaleya messaged me and said don’t be upset I’m here for you I replied back and said Thank you you’re a true friend. After that I was happy with my best friend Cattaleya.

Te Tiriti

In Miss Tele’as reading group we learned to find the main idea of a passage.

First we made a DLO Template of the Te Tiriti o Waitaingi.

Next I will explain what the Te Tiriti o Waitaingi. It is between the british people and The Maori people. The British people wanted their land and the British people wanted to share the land.

Lastly we had to make groups of three Amorangi, Tiare and I was in a group. We were given a random page we got page five. We had to summarise the main ideas in our section of the page. We had to write what the author wants to understand.  Here is what we came up with.

Bookmarks

We learned how to bookmark.

First I will explain what is a bookmark. Bookmark is a strip of material used to mark or save someone’s place in a book. I will give another example for what is a bookmark, bookmark is a link to a website address saved electronically in a browser for a quick access to the web page.

Marble Maze

I learnt how to make a Marble Maze. First I drew the marble maze on a A3 paper the marble maze on paper was just a draft. Next I drew my marble maze on the google slide. I copyed my design on my paper. Lastly I checked if it was to simple or just to hard.

I enjoyed making a marble maze. I did well on copying my design on my paper on the google slide. I need to improve on making my marble maze just right.

Time and Distance

This week we did Time and Distance.

First we got the measuring tapes and four phones and we went on the court. And we practised to measure 4m, 6m, 8m and 10m.

Next Mr Wong picked who is going to write the data in the spread sheet and Mr Wong picked who is going to be the timer.

Lastly we had to run one by one and the timer had to time the person. And the data collector has to write down our time. And we came back to class and Mr Wong showed us how to make a gragh.

I enjoyed running. I did well on timming. I need to improve on measuring.

Responsible Use

I learned Responsible Use about the Kawa of Care.

First we went though and read the rules about responsible use.

Next Mr Wong splitted up groups of boys and girls for a quiz. We had to go up to Mr Wong with the other group and answer the question about the Kawa of Care.

Lastly we got a partner my partner was Armani. We made a google draw and we did a title the title was Responible Use. And we had to write how to keep yourself safe at home and school.

Skit

We did a skit.

First we got into groups of three or four.

Then we had to plan our skit in our group. And we made a group name my group name was Queen Bees. My group was Cattaleya, Amanda – Rose and Lila.

Next we recorded our skit and we had to do the action. And we had to put the recorded skit in the LS1 Media.

Lastly we had to blog post our skit.

I enjoyed doing the action. I did well on speaking my part. I need to improve on recording better.

 

Ordering Unit Fractions

A fraction is a piece of a whole.

What is a order unit fraction? A order unit fraction is biggest to smallest and smallest to biggest. One half is bigger than one quarter, One third is bigger than one tenth.

Biggest to smallest are: 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10.

Smallest to biggest are: 1/10, 1/8, 1/6, 1/5, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2.

 

BasketBall Skills

I learned about BasketBall Skills.

First we practised how to pass the basketball. To pass the ball you have to use the W shape to pass the ball and use your dominant foot.

Next we practiced how to dribble, you have to use one hand to dribble the ball and you have to bend your knees.Then we bounced the ball over our dominant leg.

I enjoyed dribbling the ball. I did well on passing the ball. I need to improve on making a W shape with my hands to pass.
