Our guided reading text was ‘Calling all Riders’. We worked cooperatively as a group to unpack the text and answer questions using evidence from the text to support our thinking. All our responses were written in the comments tool.

    I just read your blog post and I loved how you said what you did during your text. May I ask what the whole story was about and what question you answered to the photo that is shown in the text.

    1. Maingalarpar Bethany,
      The story was about a boy named Aaron who competed in the BMX nationals in Cambridge. He is a member of the New Plymouth team, Aaron has spent six months training for this day. Some questions we had to ask was “Does everyone in New Zealand have to wear a helmet?”, “Who is Aaron riding for” and “What has Aaron been doing since he got to the Nationals?”. The question I found out that was the most interesting was “Does everyone in New Zealand have to wear a helmet?”.
