Inferring

This week I learned about inferring

First Miss White was reading a book and showed us what to do. She wrote down I can see So I can infer on a piece of paper. For example: Miss White has written down a sentence that was part of the book and explanied what it is or what they are doing.

Next I went on a document that is called I can see… So I can infer… I had to read a book and write down a sentence that is part or simaliar to the text in the book.

Lastly I read a book called The Smile. I had to write down what I can see… So I can infer. For example: Can you tell me where your shelve is… translated japanese graphic novels. So I can Infer that she is at the library or in a book store.

Statistical Investigation Organiser

I learned about Statistical Investigation Organiser.

First I had to solve who is better at shooting with a nerf gun Boys or Girls.

Then we had to get our maths book and I had to write down the genders of how much cans they have knocked down and how much boys are there and how much girls there are and there is 18 girls and 27 boys.

Next I used online calculator to figure out the answer for divides. For example: 18 divded by 14 equals 1.29. I never knew the answer until i used the online calculator.

Lastly drew a paragraph to see whos better at shooting. Usually the boys won because their paragraph went up to 2 and the girls paragraph went up to 1.

 

Badminton

I revised how to play Badminton.

First Miss White showed us how to play badminton.

Next I played another game called name game. We had to get in a circle and the person that’s in the middle has to call out someones name and the person had hit the shuttlecock with the racket whoever person named was called.

Lastly we played piggy in the middle using a shuttle and racket. The person whos piggy in the middle has to try and hit the shuttlecock with the racket.

 

Skit

We did a skit.

First we got into groups of three or four.

Then we had to plan our skit in our group. And we made a group name my group name was Queen Bees. My group was Cattaleya, Amanda – Rose and Lila.

Next we recorded our skit and we had to do the action. And we had to put the recorded skit in the LS1 Media.

Lastly we had to blog post our skit.

I enjoyed doing the action. I did well on speaking my part. I need to improve on recording better.

 

SSR Selfie

I did SSR Selfie.

First I read my book and put a 15 minute timer so I know when to stop reading.

Next I wrote what the main character is which is: Raina. Next I wrote the author was which is: Ann M. Martin.

Then when the timer is up I recount what hapened i the story so far.

After I wrote three new words in my own meaning.

Lastly I took a photo of the book a read.

I enjoyed this task because I learnt new words and their meaning. I did well on writing the meanings in my own words. I need to improve on recounting the book I read.

Basic Facts Boxes

I have had done basic facts boxes.

I did addition in ordered numbers.

I did it in 3 minute and 8 seconds.

I enjoyed this activity because I got to do basic facts to 20. I did well on doing all of it in order. I need to improve being faster.

HPE

This week I practised T – Ball.

First we revised the skills. The skills were Stance, Batting and Throwing.

Next we played T – Ball but not original T-ball. Our coach split us into teams and one team was field team the other team was Batting team.

Lastly we finished playing t – Ball and went to class.

I enjoyed playing t – Ball. I did well doing the stance. I need to improve on hitting the ball.

Inferring

This week I have learnt about inferring. The task I completed was ‘I can see so I can Infer and Key Into Inference 2’.

First, we read a book called Kakangora. I had to say what I saw for Example: The people is getting tree nuts so I infer they are hungry or their getting the tree nuts for someone.

Next we did Key Into Inference 2. We finished, but some people didn’t finish the Key Into Inference 2.

Lastly we had to blog post our Key Into Inference.

I enjoyed doing the Key Into Inference. I did well on finishing the Key Into Inference. I need to improve on doing the I can see so I can infer.

Ordering Unit Fractions

A fraction is a piece of a whole.

What is a order unit fraction? A order unit fraction is biggest to smallest and smallest to biggest. One half is bigger than one quarter, One third is bigger than one tenth.

Biggest to smallest are: 1/2, 1/3, 1/4, 1/5, 1/6, 1/8, 1/10.

Smallest to biggest are: 1/10, 1/8, 1/6, 1/5, 1/4, 1/3, 1/2.
